Re-Homing Your Horse Help Page
We are sorry you can no longer keep your horse, and regret that BHHR does not have room to take in any more horses at this time. If you wish you can email us at bhhroregon@gmail.com to describe your situation and give us detailed information on the horse that you need to re-home, we can contact you in the event that room becomes available at our rescue. However we honestly don't know how long that will take and we hope you find the following information helpful.
Tips on Re-homing Your Horse
Post flyers with a nice pictures of your horse on local bulletin boards, local feed stores, horse barns & stables, and at other appropriate locations. You may need to ask to business' permission in some circumstances.
Contact & advertise with local 4-H clubs, riding clubs, and any other groups that participate in horse related
activities
Although BHHR does not endorse any of the following resources,
they may help you in your re-homing efforts:
Search the Oregon Department of Justice Charity pages using “Horse” or “Equine” in the search name, and Oregon in the state list, for a list of horse charities and to see what horse related charities are

www.horseclicks.com has free advertising for horses
Project Horses For Sale Northwest is a Face book page to post young trainable horses for sale
Craigslist is also a popular site that does not charge for advertising, but you should screen any prospective home carefully if using this site
