About Big Hearts Horse Rescue & Sanctuary
Big Hearts Horse Rescue (BHHR) is a 501(c)3 NON PROFIT, EIN #27-5468992, currently located in Salem Oregon. We are here to help as many needy horses as we can and as our resources allow. Along with rehabilitating abused & neglected horses, we provide sanctuary to horses that cannot be rehomed.

BHHR does not promote the breeding of horses for any reason. Due to the over-breeding of horses, that has contributed to the needy horse crisis in our country, we have a strict NO BREEDING policy. Horses adopted from BHHR or placed in a BHHR Foster home may never be used for breeding purposes.

Donations of all kinds are much needed and appreciated. We have no paid staff or employees. All donations received go directly to the care and housing of the horses we help. Monetary donations can be sent to :
